My overall business journey started in 1977. With a BS degree from Florida State University in Communications, I started my career as Midwest Regional Manager for College Marketing & Research – a division of Playboy Enterprises. Working out of the Chicago office, I managed programs on college campuses throughout the USA for clients such as Alka Seltzer, Jockey International, Dannon Yogurt, Chevrolet, Jose Cuervo and Schlitz. After many years working with other field marketing agencies, I settled in Boston. In 1989, while working at Houlihan’s as the lead DJ and Entertainment Director I co-founded TEAM Enterprises, Inc. with Todd Graham. TEAM started as a mobile disc-jockey service in the Boston market that had annual sales of $75,000. By 1999 TEAM had slowly developed into a $40 million national marketing agency. TEAM is one of the first experiential marketing companies to create and implement brand-centric interactive games for consumers at events. As COO, I oversaw TEAM’s Creative, Technology and HR management for clients such as Bacardi, Coke USA, AT&T, and Miller Brewing Company. During my tenure, I was also a co-founder of BEER.COM with TEAM and was instrumental in negotiating the sale to InBev for 7 million dollars in 1999.
In 2007 the corporate office relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and I sold my shares in the company staying in Boston to pursue other business interests. TEAM Enterprises, Inc. continues to be the nation’s leading experiential marketing agency throughout North America and operates as a subsidiary of MDC Partners.
In 2008 I joined SAG-AFTRA and began working on TV and movie sets throughout New England in various supporting roles. In 2016 I landed my first principal role in the Disney film “The Finest Hours” playing the role of Fisherman Dave Ryder.
I have also recently consulted with companies such as Ninkatek ACB, LLC (a SaaS company for the alcohol beverage industry) on marketing strategies, and AGB Events with headquarters in Sydney, AU.
